ElfQuest: The Audio Movie

(imo "movie" is a bit of a strange term here and I dunno why they didn't call it an "audio drama", but moving on...)

They did an "early bird" on The Fantasy Network a couple of months ago, but their Kickstarter will be launching soon.

(hmmm... is this "type: movie news"? I figure that tag was meant for the animated movie that was always in development hell...)

This probably counts as "movie news."

It's possible they'll have a version that uses images from the comics, rather than being audio-only?

It sounds like a purely audio production to me. According to the Kickstarter, "The term 'audio movie' was first popularized by British director Dirk Maggs (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and The Sandman) to describe his cinematic approach to audio storytelling ... Audio movies are perhaps the most elaborate type of audio fiction, a form where exacting, cinematic detail goes into every moment of the production." I guess they're picturing it as being somewhat bigger in scope and detail than a typical radio play.
