Movie news!

I found out about this via [community profile] scans_daily.

The script is completed! This is very amusing to me, since they have talked about making it since before I was born. By this point, I have a hard time believing the film will actually be made, let alone end up being good, but it might be a good thing for ElfQuest as a whole if it does and ends up converting a new batch of fans, heh.

I think what interests me most about this, apart from seeing what changes they would make to the plot and what issues it would cover, is seeing how they would distinguish between elf speech and human speech.

What do you guys think, about this new info or the project in general?

It could be so awesome or go so wrong! I will wait.

I'm with you on the whether it will ever be made thing, although I'd have thought that computer animation would be an interesting option to examine, given how much anime/manga styles seem to have influenced some of that already.

Voice talent will be the thing that would make or break it for me personally, after the storyline. I could forgive dodgy visuals, so long as the voice direction is professional and realistic. This assumes that it ever gets past a script. We shall see.

Oh, *squee*. Thank you for sharing the news!

Same for me! I'm excited, but also a bit afraid. It could be epic - or an epic fail.

Yeah, I have to say after all these years that falls into the "I'll believe it when I see it" category. But, if it is made, I will for certain go see it! And hope that it is good! And be brokenhearted if it sucks. I trust Wendy and Richard, just maybe not the rest of the apparatus...
