Found this comm off DW Community Promo, and was simply amused until I saw the "EQ Readthrough" and well, that sold me. I've been a fan of EQ since I was a girl -- I started the series right after the third issue was printed in 1978. Honestly I did not keep up with it after issue 21, don't know why, but it holds a dear place in my heart even now! I still have those original 21 issues, and the Gaetherum, and the hard back novel, so clearly, it is something I don't plan on letting go. :)

I'm very looking forward to the read-through, as some of these issues have literally not been touched in over 25 years!

I was amused because while I still love EQ and see the issues at the comic shop, it never occurred to me there might be a "fandom" for it. Don't know why, I was part of the fandom in the early 80s, I guess I just figured it was so obscure it died off. It was the amusement of being reminded of something precious from my youth, I guess!

I was surprised to find an EQ fandom, too, at first. I read the comics in my pre-teen years, so it all seemed so far away in the past to me. Stumbled upon it again on a friends journal only about two weeks ago, so I'm kind of in the process of re-discovering it. And what better way to do that than to create a community and find other fans? *g*

(I'm definitely planning on making more btw, I just have no idea when. And November is NaNoWriMo, which doesn't help either. *coughs*)
